Sabotage Your Cookout 7-Inch More Than A Witness

Finally found after going missing for nearly 25 years, the Young Republicans demo cassette is certainly one of the most elusive and infamous artifacts in the history of hardcore and is truly a special item. Some have claimed that it never existed while others have referred to it as a "holy grail" item. Recorded in ?83 and only given to a handful of close friends, ¾ of the band would later go on to form the initial lineup of the influential group YOUTH OF TODAY. This 9 song EP captures the absolute essence of spirited hardcore under the shroud of Reagan: snot-nosed teens going faster MPH while standing in opposition to teachers, parents, rednecks, & suburbia. Highly catchy & classic sounding, this could easily be considered the crucial missing NYHC or CT 7? EP from 1983. Three tracks on this Young Republicans 7" EP would later be reworked and rerecorded for the debut Youth of Today "Can't Close My Eyes" 7? on Positive Force; ?Respect For Authority (None)? became ?Stabbed In The Back?, ?Backyard Bomb? became ?Expectations?, and ?High School Rednecks? became Project X's ?Straightedge Revenge? note for note on their sole EP on Schism.

s/t LP Run For Cover

In the winter of 2010, a spontaneous trip to Athens, GA became the birth of New Jersey/Philadelphia indie rock outfit Young Statues. Age Isn't Ours LP Run For Cover

In 2010, Carmen Cirignano started writing the songs that would appear on Young Statues' eponymous debut LP just one year later on Run For Cover Records. The band spent nearly all of 2012 on the road but still managed to release a covers EP and record "Age Isn't Ours" with producer and engineer Ace Enders (frontman of The Early November). Arrangements and vocal phrasing sprinkled with tinges of Americana drive tracks like "Hung Me Out To Dry" and truly see Young Statues mastering the art of indie-pop. The Flatlands Are Your Friends LP Run For Cover

This sophomore LP from Philladelphia, PA's Young Statues is their most intriguing to date. From the album opener "Natives" until the record stops, there is an alluring, haunting and hazy ambience that makes "Flatlands" sound as though it is an audible dream. The intense introspection of the band's earlier releases is taken to new, darker places by vocalist Carmen Cirignano, whose ability to lyrically navigate inner tumoil makes him one of the most captivating young songwriters in the modern indie scene. For fans of The Early November, Death Cab For Cutie, The National, Into It. Over It. and Band Of Horses. Vinyl version includes digital download. On colored vinyl.

Where I Lie LP Animal Style

The Clarion Call is made just seconds into the record when Matt Koenig utters the phrase: "And if I promise just one thing for the rest of my life" before counting off, then the gates are flung open and hell is unleashed for the next 30 or so minutes, a constant barrage of sound, fury, and pointed lyrics that doesn't let up over a dozen tracks that bring to mind the likes of Another Breath, American Nightmare, and Ruiner. A huge surprise and highly recommended! On colored vinyl.

We Got Ways LP Hjernespind

What can I say. One of the best albums ever to emerge from the Danish punk scene. EVER. Originally released in 2002, now finally repressed and available again. You either have to be really dumb or VERY good to go down roads that bring the DEAD KENNEDYS to mind. Fortunately, YW are not dumb at all and do it amazingly well. YW features members of AMDI PETERSENS ARME. Get this now, because I'm sure they'll be gone again soon enough.

The Process Of Grief 10" Blasphemour

Your Spirit Dies is a new South Carolina metalcore band featuring Remembrance's Brandon Byars, Soul Press' Mike Fuller and Keagan McChesney, and Hopesick's Tyler Dorman and Matt Kucek. It's no surprise that Your Spirit Dies is already stirring up some buzz due to their members' past bands, but "The Process Of Grief" doesn't sound quite like anything these guys have done in previous projects. They're tapping into that moment in metalcore circa 1999, where bands were starting to embrace better production and a slightly more melodic side, but still staying true to the genre's hardcore roots and not going as full-on melodic as some of the genre's soon-to-be-very-popular bands would go just a year or three later. 10" includes digital download and is limited to 300 copies on colored vinyl.

s/t LP Build Me A Bomb

After a very well received EP and two US tours, YOUTH AVOIDERS return with their first full length album. For fans of hardcore punk, this will be without a doubt, the best hardcore punk record to come from France in a LONG time. Part hardcore reminiscent of Career Suicide’s punchy delivery and part punk with a frantic guitar work that brings to mind Royal Headache. Loads of catchy hooks delivered at high velocity makes this a real stand out record.

s/t 7-Inch Build Me A Bomb

France has been churning out a LOT of good HC/punk bands the last 2 years and this one is no exception. Great stuff (this is their demo put to wax) as in garagey punk that straddles the fine line with vintage hardcore punk. Similar artists I'd compare them to from Europe anyways would be Negative Lifestyle, Press Gang or Snob Value. Its pissed, punk and still catchy, what more do you want? Looks more like a post punk or mysterious record but musically its def neither of those.

Complete First Demo 7" Dischord

When the Teen Idles split up in 1980, singer Nathan Strejcek and drummer Danny Ingram - two of the first punk kids at Wilson High - formed a new band, Youth Brigade. The duo played with a few different bass and guitar players before settling on Bert Quiroz of The Untouchables and Tom Chilton to complete the lineup. The band played its first show in Washington, DC in March of 1981 at a restaurant called Food For Thought. Just ten days later, Youth Brigade had its second gig joining Minor Threat at the 9:30 Club as the openers for Black Flag's first show in DC. "Complete First Demo" collects eights songs that Youth Brigade recorded with Don Zientara and Skip Groff in the summer of 1981 during the first recording session. "I Object" appeared on the "20 Years Of Dischord" box set and "Last Word" was included on "Flex Your Head." All other material is previously unreleased. 7" includes digital download. s/t 7" Revelation

The final studio recording from this influential hardcore band. The lyrics on this release have some of the same philosophical and spiritual influences that dominated Ray's next band, Shelter, which recorded its first album the same year. During the sessions these tracks were done the band also recorded a Partridge Family song, but decided not to release it until 2002 on the Revelation 100 compilation. One Night Stand b/w Anarchy In Vienna 7" Revelation

From the iconic and unpredictable Youth Of Today, we've got a fun 7" that was initially released for Record Store Day 2019. "One Night Stand" was the ONLY cover song ever recorded by Youth Of Today in studio. The track was selected by vocalist Ray Cappo and recorded during their last 7" session ("Disengage," "Envy," and "Modern Love Story" were the other tracks from that session that were released as their self-titled 7"). "One Night Stand," written by Paul Anka and Wes Farrell, was originally recorded by The Partridge Family and appeared in their show and on record in the early 1970s. This version is Youth Of Today's take with Ray's signature growl and has only been released on the now out-of-print "Revelation 100: A Fifteen Year Retrospective Of Rare Recordings" compilation, but now it will appear on a Youth Of Today release for the first time. The B-side is another cover from their first tour of Europe in 1989 (with artwork inspired by the Sex Pistols' "God Save The Queen" 7"). This is the black vinyl version.

s/t 7-Inch Criminal IQ

From Portugal, The Youths play great, old-fashioned, pissed-off, teenage rebellion punk ‘n’ roll. With garage rock stomping and production, complete with hand claps, this record is a fast, smart blast of angst done right. These guys are tuneful but don’t veer into pop-punk territory, this is a raw record from start to finish and is getting lots of play in my house at the moment.
