From Beneath The Streets LP Mad At The World

By the time Token Entry released "From Beneath The Streets" in 1987 on Kevin Seconds' Positive Force label, they were already one of NYHC's most beloved bands. Having existed in a slightly different incarnation as Gilligan's Revenge in the early half of the 1980's, Token Entry was comprised of scene vets from New York's hardcore-rich borough of Queens. One of the few NYHC bands of that era that managed to tour extensively, they were notorious for their high-energy shows and their lack of patience for tough-guy posturing. No account of late '80s, CBGB matinee-era NYHC is complete without this album. The present reissue makes "From Beneath The Streets" available on (colored) vinyl for the first time since the late '90s, complete with faithful reproductions of the original covers and inserts. LP includes free MP3 download of the entire album.

Jaybird LP I Scream

It is now available on vinyl for the first time since 1998. Now available again on colored vinyl. LP includes digital download.

TOMORROW'S GONE

s/t 7-Inch Element

Do you remember when Hardcore was Hardcore, and not metal? The music that made you jump around your room and sing-along. That is exactly what you get here. Kind of a cross between DAG NASTY and CHAIN OF STRENGTH. This record doesn’t get the attention it deserves. Tomorrow's Gone evolved into FADED GREY.

TORCH RUNNER/ YOUNG AND IN THE WAY

split 7" Headfirst!

Young And In The Way rip through three tracks of black metal-laced crust punk/hardcore: "Blackened Crust" for you termists out there. Dark, ferocious and evil. TORSÖ

Build And Break 7" Revelation

Torso is armed with a powerful punk and hardcore sound with influences as geographically diverse as its members. Lyrically, Torso does not rely on any of the hardcore cliches or spew overly simplistic lyrics that carry no real meaning. Instead, the band tackles issues of veganism, politics, mental health, displacement, and feminism at a time when the world needs it the most. 7" includes digital download. On colored vinyl.

TORSO

Home Wrecked 7" Revelation

Recorded in the same session as the four songs that came out as the "Build And Break" 7" on Revelation Records, these three tracks were intended for an ill-fated split but are now being released on their own. Two of the tracks are Torso originals delivered in the same mean, D-beating, dirty, hardcore-punk style as "Build And Break" and their classic "Sono Prona A Morire" full-length on Sorry State Records, along with a cover of "You're X'd" by The Faith. For fans of Urban Sprawl, Nausea, and Youth Of Today. On colored vinyl.

TOTAL ABUSE

Sex Pig 7-Inch Deranged

The first vinyl offering by ex- Snobs will not disappoint. Their demo made some waves and these new tracks step it up a notch – just as raw and fast but way more controlled. Basic primal HC with loads of speed and hooks that’s been compared to a mix of DRI and early Boston HC like Deep Wound.

TOTAL ABUSE

Mutt LP Post Present Medium

On two recordings for Deranged, Austin, TX's Total Abuse brought forth an ugly, feedback- drenched brand of hardcore punk that took hints from Red C, Chavo and Rollins-era Black Flag, and Void. With "Mutt," they finally cement a marriage between their obsession with UK power electronics and early American hardcore, but not straying away from the punk speed and fury of their early efforts. LP includes coupon for digital download.

TOTAL ABUSE

demo 7-Inch Even Worse

This records contains ex- THE SNOBS, who were one of the first US bands to hit with a really authentic retro-hardcore sound back early 00s. However, where THE SNOBS were pretty much doing straight up SOA/NEGATIVE APPROACH style hardcore, TOTAL ABUSE cite DEEP WOUND as an influence and it definitely shows. 'I Give Up' could have been on DEEP WOUND's EP, and proves that these Texans have once again captured all that is great about a particular sound from yesteryear. The other two tracks on the space aren’t as insanely fast, sounding more like MECHT MENSCH meets SIEGEe’s slow parts. Needless to say this thing is killer.

TOTAL ABUSE

s/t LP Deranged

The highly anticipated self-titled album from Total Abuse is a monster hardcore punk classic. A recent feature in Skyscraper magazine described the album as follows: 'Total Abuse's pungent blend of eighties thrash, grinding proto-grunge, and waves of both the new and old variety, distills every extreme punk subgenre of the last 30 years into a 25 minute barrage of shearing guitar noise and sonic annihilation.' I have nothing more to add.

Looking For Love 7" Deranged

Total Abuse, the ugly boys from Texas return after a two-year hiatus with "Looking For Love," a three-track 7" EP. Expect dissonant, debased, sleaze-filled, dirgy hell-tunes. You either love them or hate them but you know to expect the filthiest ear-shredding hardcore around. "Looking For Love" is the a search for forgiveness through the trash-filled alleyways and underbelly of a seedy Texas city. TOUCH

The Darkness Reflects LP Version City Blues

Budapest, Hungary's Touch has been refining their brand of '80s, NYHC-influenced groove for three short years - culminating to their debut LP, "The Darkness Reflects," on Version City Blues. They keep their sound moving and interesting by nodding to trippy fuzz, psyched-out reverb, and dive-bomb laden thrash; while always firmly maintaining their hardcore roots and structure. With two EPs out, 2016's self-released "Illusion Of Truth" and 2017's "Rearrangement" on Chiller Than Most, the band finds themselves among stalwarts Mental, Soul Control, Blacklisted, and the almighty Supertouch. This is the blue vinyl version, limited to 100 copies.

TOUCHÈ AMORÈ

Parting The Sea Between The Brightness And Me LP Deathwish

Touche Amore is a thought-provoking, passionate hardcore/punk band from Los Angeles, CA. From the first strikes of their angular, yet melodic, chords, it's apparent that Touche Amore has awoken something long forgotten in the hardcore/punk genre, bringing to mind the balance of rage and melody that Revolution Summer-era DC bands Rites Of Spring and Ignition once carried. Without a doubt, Touche Amore's "Parting The Sea Between Brightness And Me" is a stunning full-length achievement on any scale, proving that there is true beauty within the concept of artistic simplicity. Vinyl version includes digital download. On colored vinyl.

TOUCHÈ AMORÈ

Stage Four LP Epitaph

Touche Amore is a Los Angeles, CA based punk band whose earnest and artful approach to song writing, along with relentless touring, fueled their rise to prominence in the hardcore community. In 2013, Touche Amore crossed into new territory with their beloved release "Is Survived By." Now from a band both living its dream and marred by loss comes "Stage Four." Triumphant in sound and cathartic in delivery, "Stage Four" is a powerfully creative leap for Touche Amore. The first single is the catchy "Palm Dreams" and it's instantly clear from Bolm's vocals that Touche Amore is breaking new ground: the career screamer is actually singing, in a quite capable sing-speak harmony. The final track, the lush, jangly "Skyscraper," featuring haunting guest vocals from Julien Baker, ends the album with an atmospheric departure, both sonically and in spirit. LIMITED RED vinyl.

TOUCHE AMORE

...To The Beat Of A Dead Horse LP 6131

Hailing from Los Angeles, CA, Touche Amore set themselves against the glamour and greed of their hometown culture with "...To The Beat Of A Dead Horse," the passionate debut LP and CD. Where Touche Amore's demo 7"(No Sleep Records) was full of promise, "...To The Beat Of A Dead Horse" feels fully realized: the guitars bend and weave but always maintain their drive, the rhythms are frequently off kilter but never off-time and the vocals are screamed at the edge of breaking up but they're always exciting, pleasing even. Features guest vocals by Geoff Rickly (Thursday) and Jeff Eaton (Modern Life Is War); split release with Rickly's Collect Records.

TOUCHE AMORE

Live On BBC Radio 1 7" Deathwish

While traveling in the UK in 2011, Touche Amore was invited to record at the legendary BBC Studios for "The Punk Show" with host Mike Davies. There they worked with acclaimed engineer Simon Askew (Pulp, Pj Harvey, Foo Fighters) during a half-day of recording. Here we experience four of their well-known anthems in their most stripped down, road-worn state. 7" includes digital download. On colored vinyl.

TOUCHE AMORE

Is Survived By LP Deathwish

"Is Survived By" shows Touche Amore embracing a maturation of their trademark melancholy. The sounds are welcomingly familiar; inspired percussion amid a sea of imaginative guitars and impassioned vocals. However, the underlying unrest is more complex and touching than any previous Touche Amore release before it. Simply put, these are not simple "love" songs that dwell in the past, but complex "life" songs about living in the present. Throughout the entire album vocalist/lyricist Jeremy Bolm digs deeper in search of personal catharsis, allowing us to relate to his drive to be clearly heard, truly understood, and unapologetically remembered. "Is Survived By" not only shows growth in subject matter but musicianship for Touche Amore. The jangly guitar work of Clayton Stevens and Nick Steinhardt is on a new level here. Throughout the release they effortlessly entangle one another to construct beautiful yet unexpected melodies. While the explosive rhythm section of Tyler Kirby and Elliot Babin shines in the frenetic pace they keep. Achieving a stunning balance of hook laden listenability and emotion.Without question, "Is Survived By" is another masterwork from Touche Amore. More importantly, it is a release that lives up to the promise of past releases while not repeating it. Not a departure, but a continuation down the remarkable road that they alone travel. On colored vinyl.
