This outfit from the city of Amsterdam has a sound of their own, it is
old school hardcore but with some unique modern influences and a lot of
melodic parts. If you insist on a comparison: Bane, As Friends Rust, old
Ignite and some of the Rivalry bands come to mind. Four songs on
colored vinyl. 2nd hand
Nashville, TN's Hollywood exhibit catchy songwriting, mixing intense,
fast hardcore with the rock and roll stylings of Refused, Black Flag
and Suicide File inside of six tracks on this, their second EP. 2007 has
seen the boys touring the Midwest with bands like Ruiner and Die Young,
now it's time to step up. 2nd hand
The next-to-last record in the series! Limited to 1,000! On PURPLE vinyl with Die-Cut covers! Recorded live at the Metro in Chicago, IL in February 2008. Songs: Just Don't Say You Lost It, I Was On a Mountain, & Moonpies For Misfits.
This is the debut release from a new band from Rochester, NY. Featuring
memebers from the underrated DISASTER, these six songs have a similar
sense of urgency and intensity. Melodic and passionate, you'll realize
soon that this is not just another hardcore band, but a way for these
kids to express themselves. This means a lot to them and it shows.
Naturally, I'm impressed (and can't wait for their full length to hit). 2nd hand
The new EP from IN DESPERATION should appeal to a diverse audience of
listeners. Although relatively young, they have developed a name for
tehmselves by keeping their brand of Hardcore full of passion and
energy. Their music is edgy and aggressive, but still catchy as hell.
Wether you like to bust some heads in the moshpit or just looking for
a listening enjoyment, don't sleep on these kids. Right now I have
copies of the tour version of their new EP. They'll be replaced by
the regular version once they're gone. 2nd hand
These guys grew up in a small town outside of Sacramento. Influenced by
avariety of bands from From Born Against and Ashes Rise to Modern Life
is War, they've managed to record an impressive debut release.
Describing themselves as a melodic hardcore band, but with a darker
lyrical approach isa pretty accurate description. Featuring members and
Ex-members of Madhouse Disciples, Trash Talk and Dance for Destruction.
Definitely check this out if you're down with 'modern hardcore'. 2nd hand
Heavy, no bullshit hardcore with pissed off vocals that are basically straight yells, but they really have an interesting edge that gives the band a unique feel. Not what I would call metallic, but it’s definitely thick as hell and hits harder and more moderately paced than what most any of the youth crew types of bands are gonna pull off. There are a few little bits and pieces of melody as well. Lyrics are pretty personal and they definitely make their point most of the time with lines like, 'Fuck love, it only grays with age…'. These seven songs took me by surprise... good stuff. USED copy on MINT GREEN vinyl.
After releasing their stellar (and critically acclaimed) self-titled
full length in 2005, Internal Affairs returns with 'Deadly Visions,' a
collection of songs that shows they still have what it takes to continue
to be at the top of the best bands currently residing in Southern
California. 'Deadly Visions' shows no signs of the band slowing down,
taking their lightning- fast yet impressively hard sound and mixing it
with Corey Williams' patented 'fuck yeah' lyrics. Recorded at Blood
Tracks (with Nick Jett from Terror) and mixed by Paul Miner. Limited prerelease cover, yellow vinyl.
Honest, straight up, youthful and angry hardcore with no frills and
nothing to hide. These 5 songs are HARD and will get you moshing, guaranteed.
They are hardcore in the vein of Right Brigade, Chorus & Striking
Distance. If you like your hardcore genuine, this is for you.
Hailing from The Hague, political capital of Europe, Killtraitors brings newschool agressive hardcore at its best. Music filled with anger and despair with personal heartfelt lyrics. Dramatic and powerful riffing drawing influences from the early ‘90s (bands such as Threadbare, 108, Quicksand and Unbroken) but still standing firm in today’s modern hardcore scene. USED copy on GREEN vinyl.
The Heavyweight includes 4 tracks full of energy, rawness and
aggression. Angry and fast tracks in the vein of Terror meets No Warning
meets American Nightmare. On white vinyl.
Hated by many, loved by few, and not even respected by themselves, Let
Down has blazed a warpath across the United States by proving themselves
to be too fast for the hardcore kids, yet too mosh oriented and
straight edge for the punks. They have left a trail of blood (mostly
their own) across both coasts and managed to alienate literally
thousands of people over the last three years. Let Down's third EP (and
Six Feet Under debut), may be their best work to date, but it is in no
way a step forward in maturity. There is no hint of post hardcore on
this four song raper, just a wanton blend of their original sound with
more influence from '81 Boston and '91 Cleveland. Still existing on
their own terms and playing by their own rules, Let Down may be the
final hope for Straight Edge hardcore in 2007. On colored vinyl. 2nd hand
LHP's latest ouput . Lighthouse Project definitely grow with each
release. Blacker, doomier, heavier Lighthouse Project. Great! Don't
miss it, they have a really unique sound going on. Includes a classic
Finnish hardcore cover song by Terveet Kädet. Comes with a digital
download. On green vinyl. 2nd hand
From the birthplace of hardcore,
DC's LION OF JUDAH prove they owe just as much to I Against I - era BAD
BRAINS as they do to early FUGAZI. Formed in late 2004, LION OF JUDAH
delivers their musically and lyrically thought-provoking debut EP Soul
Power. Sticking to their DC roots of musical creativity and political
aesthetics, LION OF JUDAH shines amongst the sea of mindless and boring
modern hardcore acts. With extensive tour plans after the EP's release,
LION OF JUDAH will most certainly turn heads and open the eyes of the
average hardcore fan in 2005. 2nd hand.
Six songs of piss and vingear from this young band from Brick, NJ.
Wearing influences from bands such as the Cro Mags, Outburst, and Raw
Deal on their sleeve this band plays authentic sounding mid-late '80s
NYC style hardcore. No tough guy posturing here though, just mean
sounding hardcore. This is the second coming of the Snobs. The oldest
member is only 15! Orange vinyl, limited to 400 copies. 2nd hand
Losing
x Streak released their demo on Thrown Back demotapes and already
played a shitload of shows with overwhelming response, especially in
their own area. As a result, Losing x Streak is mentioned as one of the
leading bands in a long row of a great new breed of Belgian
hardcorebands. Musicwise, think pissed off and aggressive, young, fast,
Shark Attack, Outbreak and straight edge. On white vinyl. 2nd hand.
Love, Hope And Fear draws influence from a wide variety of hardcore and
punk bands, but is especially influenced by the rich history of punk of
the Bay Area that they call home. 'Fate's Frowned On Us' is four tracks
of fast-paced hardcore that draws similarities to The Nerve Agents, AFI,
American Nightmare, Ceremony and even Shai Hulud at heavier times. On colored vinyl. 2nd hand
With their influences deeply rooted in mid-'90s hardcore, Boston's
Maintain bring four tracks to this debut release, playing mid-tempo
songs with the right amount of crunch, reminiscent of bands like
Outspoken, Trial, Strife and Inside Out. Clear vinyl, 2nd hand
San Diego's Masterpiece bring an intensity and fury that can be compared
to their influences Shark Attack, Outbreak and No Warning. These four
tracks showcase the band's in-your-face lyrics, growled vocals and moshy
beats. Pink vinyl, 2nd hand
This is the final release from California's The Miracle Mile. Four
original tracks of honest, sincere hardcore that the band became known
for and a cover of Nirvana's "Territorial Pissings" that is pretty spot on. Members can be found making
music in DANGERS and Final Fight. Clear vinyl, 2nd hand
nd handTwo new tracks from More Than Ever, playing melodic and passionate new
schoiol hardcore. Turn Away from Stuttgart delivers intense and catchy
hardcore combined with amazing punkrock tunes. Aggressive and driving
old school hardcore that doesn't disappoint. Sweet Bukowski cover
artwork and on colored vinyl. 2nd hand
Narrows are comprised of a
seasoned cast of musicians: Dave Verellen (Botch, Roy), Rob Moran
(Unbroken, Some Girls), Ryan Fredereksen (These Arms Are Snakes), Jodie
Cox (Tropics, Bullet Union) and Sam Stothers (Makeout Boys, Quarantine).
With an overdriven/soaked bass, ghost land guitar work, brooding drums
and a shrapnel laced voice, Narrows prove they are built for the dark
lands we live in. In these three remarkable songs, Narrows transcend the
tired sub-genres of hardcore/punk/metal and leave their own
unforgettable musical scar, proving that they are the celebrated past,
awe inspiring present, and infectious future of today's heavy music
community. On colored vinyl, 2nd hand
