20 years after their break-up, Citizens Arrest decided to hit the studio again, record some
new tunes and release it as a digital 4 song E.P. called "Soaked In Others Blood". Now those
songs are finally availabel on vinyl, courtesy of the fine folks at Painkiller. Unlike a lot of other
bands that reformed ages after they had disbanded, CXA aren't embarrassing themselves
with their new recordings but deliver 4 kick ass tracks. The new songs are closer to the
material of the band's demo and first EP than their later material. It's relatively mid-tempo,
eschewing the extremes of fast and slow parts that they embraced in the later years of their
existence. This might not be as groundbreaking as their (essential) previous releases, but
to dismiss it outright does the material a disservice. It's solid, it's well-played and it retains
a viciousness that's rarely heard in such circumstances.
CITIZENS ARREST were a hardcore band that formed in New York and existed from 1988-1990. They played a bunch of shows at legendary punk venues like CBGBs and ABC No Rio. Considered to be a seminal New York hardcore band by many, their short-lived reign exists within a demo, a 7", some comp tracks, and a full-length album. Heavily influenced by S.O.A., NEGATIVE FX, and SIEGE, this record amalgamates gruff vocals with extremely raw, fast hardcore.
A personal favorite, this limited edition comes with an outstanding gatefold cover and on three different colors of vinyl. So good.
Right in time for their European Tour 2012, Netherlands CITIZENS PATROL unleash their newest in-your-face and ass kickin hyperspeed hardcore release. Imagine old US hardcore bands like POISON IDEA or REAGAN YOUTH, mixed with some blistering material from the 2000s thrash era like ExTxAx or DS-13 plus newer bands like GOVERNMENT WARNING or CAREER SUICIDE. There you go. Pure madness with 6 songs in 8min.. Vinyl includes a digital download card.
After 2 ep's on No Way (USA) and Crucial Attack (Holland) their demo from 2006 finally makes it
to vinyl. No clue why this took so long. Some songs made it to the first EP, some didn't .
Complete your CP collection with this slab of wax . 500 copies...
CITIZENS PATROL return two years after their "dead children"ep,and recently released demo
EP. Definetely worth the wait,as hollands finest return, with their strongest effort yet!.
15 pummeling hc shredders in classic C.P. styleee! The production is beefed up and clearer
as before, and thus gaining on the power front, while maintaining the urgency and agression of
all earlier stuff.
Kenny's vocals are more up front, which perfectly fit as he unleashes personal disgust in rapid
tempo set to equally hectic and fast hc/punk,with plenty of hooks n' turns. Get it!
Holland ragers Citizen's Patrol blast through another six tracks of early-'80s inspired hardcore with demented vocals, buzzsaw guitars and drums that never seem to slow down. Touring for this EP included a stint with Life Trap and an appearance at No Way Fest.
Two times Hardcore punk, wicked fast and pretty sick. CITIZENS PATROL from the Netherlands deliver 4 new songs ffo NEGATIVE APPROACH, DRI or TEAR IT UP, that will make you crazy. REPROACH from Belgium are know for their crude and angry hc punk somewhere between INFEST…
Formed by ex-members of Anchor and Gust (Southern Lord), Sweden's City Keys presents their second offering, a four-track 7" of heavy and dark hardcore influenced by the Scandinavian metal scene as well as '90s, vegan, straight edge hardcore. It was recorded at Sunlight Studios (Entombed, Dismember, Refused, Gorgoroth) in Stockholm and features guest vocals from Tomas Lindberg (At The Gates) and Bjorn Dossche (Rise And Fall). 7" includes digital download and is limited to 500 copies on colored vinyl.
Born out of the ashes of former Scandinavian tour machine Anchor, a new straight edge hardcore vessel rises: City Keys (slang for bolt cutter). "Tip The Scale" is a taste of what's to come from this new band. Recorded miles apart with instrumental sessions taking place in Melbourne, Australia and vocals taken care of in Malmo, Sweden, "Tip The Scale" features guest appearances by Johannes Persson from Cult Of Luna and Daniel Austin of Die Young (TX). Limited edition of 100 copies.
This is the long-awaited follow-up EP to "Seasons." With "Loner," you will find late-'90s style screamo that has been deemed "acoustic-core." 12" EP includes digital download and a silkscreened B-side. Limited edition of 500 copies on colored vinyl.
"Seasons" transcends its screamo-wave influence and punches hard, despite not
having a single distorted riff or rush of feedback. It's a
stunning mix of acoustic cleans and honest screams. While the introductory track, a fittingly
hoarse rendition of Charles Bukowski's classic poem “Bluebird”, might bring up thoughts of
La Dispute or Listener, the following four tracks, each one named after its related season,
transcend their collective influences to create a technically impressive and wholly
original sonic experience. Guitarist Max Adam's melodies are absolutely enchanting, eschewing
punk tradition and pulling from everything from classical to calypso jazz. It doesn't
hurt that the rhythm section follows his lead with the utmost care and precision. Vocalist
Eddie Gancos' impassioned wails tie everything back into to their genre framework,
doing his part to provide the emotional catharsis one expects for the sound. It all melds
together so beautifully. On colored vinyl.
This is the record that started it all. Originally released digitally in 2011 via bandcamp, this will be the first time that "The Hope In Forgiving And Giving Up Hope" will be available on the vinyl format. Some serious Cap'n Jazz/Caravels love. Limited edition of 500 copies. On colored vinyl.
Vinyl originally released by Revelation in 1996, "Set Your Goals" is the debut LP from CIV. Pressings were limited (with even less originally pressed on blue) and have been sold out for years, but now "Set Your Goals" is finally being repressed. This vinyl LP also features a cover of SSD's "Glue" as a bonus track, which was not available on the original CD version of this release. On colored vinyl.
Civic Duty features members of Fury, Protester, Pure Disgust, Red Death, Clear and more and channel the spirit of the harder edge of bands like Confront and No Tolerance. Limited edition of 500 copies.
Killer St. Louis, MO hardcore that is full of negative energy and frustration. Seven songs on this steamroller, and not one of them is a dud. 'Petroleum Man' is raw, aggressive and just plain mean.
Follow up to last year's great debut record. This smokes in just the same manner, but with much better recording. For anyone keeping track they share half a lineup with other St Louis greats, Cardiac Arrest, who make a good, albeit lazy comparison to the sounds on this platter. Great biting, cynical, and ranting lyrics spewed over the meat and potatos flavour of early 80s US hardcore. Mix in the piss and vinegar of the Crucifucks and youre getting kinda close to the sounds on this. The 'artwork' (there's not even a proper cover) on this is the only disappointment.
Continuing where their 'Rising' EP on Crucial Attack records left off, this LP record features 18 tracks of raging insanity. With a drummer that frequently plays faster than 220 BPM, a guitar player that plays like his life, liberty and rectal virginity depend on it, a bassist that rattles with the speed of light and a singer that rants and rages for 18 songs against all the things he hates, CIVIL TERROR's 1st full-length is truly sonic terror - influenced by the likes of SSS, MUNICIPAL WASTE, earlys FEAR, Boston's SS DECONTROL, some 'Kill 'em all'- era METALLICA and a little bit of MOTÖRHEAD. Damn good artwork by Nabbe (Insult, Hot and Steamy Monkey Love etc.) too. Stay clear if you're easily offended.
After 3 insane 7"s here's finally the 1st full-length LP from CIVIL VICTIM! You'll get 12 tracks of pissed off German hardcore that has a Swedish and US hardcore sound to it. BLACK FLAG, SS DECONTROL and POISON IDEA already sent their regards. The LP comes in thick 180gr vinyl, inside out cover and includes a MP3 download card.
Featuring members of recent Northwest hardcore bands The Answer and Not Worry, Clarity presents their second 7" of modern hardcore that's inspired by bands like Carry On, Count Me Out, Right Brigade and The First Step. 7" includes digital download and is limited to 312 copies.
Drawing sonic influence from the likes of Right Brigade and Carry On, Clarity forge five introspective and urgent hardcore jams in a style that is all their own. Northwest credentials include members from Not Sorry, Vanguard, and The Answer. 7" includes digital download and is limited to 500 copies. On colored vinyl.
Merrimack Valley hardcore band, Class Struggle's, sophomore EP, "Another Day, Another Struggle". Five aggressive songs that cut the bullshit. Straight up, in-your-face, NY-influenced hardcore. On colored vinyl.
